Who is Mentor Officer ?

Mentor Officer – This position is appointed by the Executive Team. Responsible for assisting club members looking for a mentor to connect with mentors that can help them through their Pathways journey.

The mentor officer serves on the Board of Directors for the club and helps facilitate the partnership with all club members. This position is appointed by the Executive Team.

• Works closely with the VP of Membership to identify all new members and offers to assign a mentor to each new member for a minimum 6-month period
• Works closely with the VP of Education on the progress of each mentor, and identifies opportunities for help by assigning a mentor
• Coordinate with the Area Director to assist in the mentor program (such as adding outside mentors to assist the club)
• Identifying potential new mentors (from both inside and outside the club)
• Help train the new mentors, using the “train the trainer” video series, assisting in the mentor pathway training, and ongoing coaching of the mentors
• Periodically checks the progress with each mentor and provides counseling and assistance when required
• Tracks club member progress and reports to the board of directors’ monthly meeting on the progress, challenges, and success of the protégé-mentor club program
